National Account Manager Oil & Gas

Description

The role of the National Account Manager is to spearhead and advise the team of employees selling GME Supply products to current and prospective customers. The role is accountable for volume, revenue, and margin growth goals by increasing the market share of the organization through the success of the customer service team, regional sales staff and national account relationships.

The National Account Manager is critical to the success of national client partnerships by lending expertise to relationship building, strategic pricing and communication. This role is consultative and collaborative for the identification and acquisition of new customers, identification of new target industries and customization of process improvements for efficiency and profit expansions.

Requirements for success:

The National Account Manager will be responsible for items including, but not limited to the following:

Revenue Strategy
  • Active involvement in identification and creation of revenue goals for business development
  • Strategy creation & execution for accomplishment of quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Proactive and disciplined growth toward achievement of plan via sales staff and personal activity


Territory Strategy
  • Understand characteristics and trends of all markets business development team encounters
  • Collaborate with executives to research, identify and quantify value of growth opportunities
  • Strategic planning with leadership and staff for reaching goals
  • Establish a pattern of success using presence in territory markets
  • Collaborate with staff and Marketing team to develop strategic relationship planning
  • Travel within territory, with staff, and as needed for national account maintenance and growth
  • Involvement with industry associations and groups as relevant

Customer Strategy
  • Identify clients, establish trust and build relationship up to strategic business partner status
  • Advocate for needs of sales staff, clients and teams internally
  • Manage staff knowledge and expectations to enhance client experience


Business Knowledge Strategy
  • Continual pursuit of product and brand knowledge
  • Development of product expertise for team collaboration
  • Active engagement with vendors and brands for client and company benefit


Personnel Development Strategy
  • Identifies staff strengths and actively takes action to reinforce them
  • Identifies and address areas of improvement for staff
  • Focus given to enhancement of skill, interaction, growth and character
  • Develop and monitor personal growth plan with staff
