Description

We're looking for a National Account Director to establish and achieve sales goals within budget and increases sales with specific strategic national and international accounts.

In this high-impact role, you'll be responsible for driving the adoption of our complete portfolio of integrated security solutions-including intrusion, access control, video surveillance, fire, cellular communication, home automation, and smart security technologies.

What you'll do

As our National Account Director you will:
  1. Create incremental revenue by developing pull through sales in assigned strategic accounts.
  2. Works within the framework of the current DMP Business Plan and its strategic initiatives and tactics, as well as within the current operating budget. This will be executed primarily by:
    1. Calling on the appropriate buying influences and driving "DMP - centric" demand and specifications with integrator sales directors, specifying engineers, consultants, and architects, as well as direct communication with end users within key vertical markets.
    2. Developing and growing the sales organizations of strategic partners through development and facilitation of training, marketing material, and business planning with executive leadership.
    3. Within the framework of established training and business development programs, managing any assigned direct reports to further facilitate growth within strategic accounts.
    4. Working relentlessly to pursue greater excellence in products and services. Constantly seeking to improve process efficiencies and eliminate waste.
  3. General responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
    1. Act as industry and trade association liaison and participate as required and appropriate.
    2. Function as interim Project Manager on behalf of DMP for specific project opportunities, where necessary.
    3. Work collegially with regional managers and other vertical market personnel on the development of opportunities within their specific regions, including sales calls on specific dealers, prospects, consulting architects and engineers as appropriate.
    4. Provide input to the DMP specification and product development process through a regular cadence of communication with Product Management.
    5. Provide input to marketing materials development process.
    6. Assist management with the development and maintenance of key independent, national and strategic customers and OEM or integration channel partners.
    7. Assist management with sales and product forecasting.
  4. Observes and adheres to DMP Data Classification Standard.
  5. Observes company policies. Continuously finds processes that create improved efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements. Acknowledges responsibility to satisfy the customer, reduce cycle time and eliminate waste.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Sales executive with five or more years of sales and territory management experience or dealer-direct selling experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Willingness to maintain flexibility and perform any job required to satisfy the customer.
  • Demonstrated punctuality, positive work attitude, and cooperative relationships with others within the department and company.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working without direct supervision.
  • Ability to accept and benefit from constructive criticism.
  • Any other equivalent combination of training and experience.
