We offer a competitive compensation package between $66,000-$100,000 with potential for increases based on years of K-12 lead teaching experience, in-state certifications, and performance.

What's the role

We are looking for a driven Music Teacher to deliver engaging, standards-based instruction, utilize Responsive Classroom techniques, and monitor student progress while collaborating with colleagues to refine teaching practices. You don't need to speak Hebrew to apply, and we strongly encourage candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups to join our community!
What you'll do
  • Build a classroom culture in which students love Music
  • Provide an engaging, developmentally appropriate and differentiated music program with an emphasis on creativity, development of music skills and literacy, and delivery of a program that helps students develop a broad range of music skills and knowledge;
  • Teach knowledge and skills in music education and provide opportunities to learn using both the voice and instruments;
  • Supervise safety of pupils in out-of-classroom activities;
  • Analyze, demonstrate, and explain basic skills, knowledge, and strategies of producing music and engaging in musical thinking and literacy;
  • Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive environment in the art class;
  • Evaluate each pupil's growth in music skills and music knowledge;
  • Mastery/deep knowledge in instructional subject area. Preferred undergraduate major or minor or graduate degree in the subject;
  • Passion for his/her subject and the ability to connect with and motivate, individually and collectively;
  • A strong commitment to all students with the belief that all students can learn and must be held to high academic standards;
  • Boundless energy and enthusiasm for working with students and other adults in the building;
  • Contribute to the life of the school beyond assigned roles;
  • Commitment to professional growth through self-reflection, receptiveness to feedback and a continuous desire to improve; and
  • Demonstrate a solutions-oriented mindset and flexible thinking when faced with challenges
