Job Summary
We are seeking a Murex S4C Consultant to support the implementation, integration, configuration, and production support of the MX.3 platform. The ideal candidate will have experience working across the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, configuration, system integration, testing, deployment, and client support. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable Murex solutions, support trade workflows, and integrate external systems with the MX.3 platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide implementation, integration, configuration, upgrade, training, and production support services for the Murex MX.3 platform.
• Build, test, deploy, and support MX.3 integration modules.
• Participate in project implementation activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to solution design, configuration, build, testing, and deployment activities both remotely and on client engagements as required.
• Develop trade workflows and interfaces to enable communication between external trading platforms and the Murex platform.
• Design and implement integrations using MxMLExchange, MXOpenConnect, Murex APIs, and Datamart.
• Process inbound trade and market data feeds, store transaction data, and generate acknowledgements.
• Contribute to functional documentation, including test cases and use cases.
• Develop and maintain technical design documentation for Murex solution implementations.
• Build, deploy, test, and maintain Murex interface packages, including MDIT, MarkitWire, BSMT, and MarkitCredit.
• Support integration with external market data providers and financial platforms.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production support issues from initial notification through validation and closure.
• Manage client support requests through email, CRM systems, phone, and onsite support as required.
• Coordinate with Product teams to manage defect resolution and product enhancements.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Back Office, Risk, and project teams to develop client solutions.
• Work closely with project managers and technical leads to ensure timely project delivery.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Unix, Murex Scripting Language (MSL), XMLF, and related Murex technologies.
• Analyze trade feeds, Straight Through Processing (STP) failures, end-of-day reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) data.
• Develop Shell and Python scripts to automate operational and support activities.
• Analyze business requirements and evaluate pre-trade, post-trade, and system integration workflows.
Required Qualifications
• 1-2 years of experience working with the Murex MX.3 platform.
• Experience supporting Murex implementation, configuration, integration, and production support activities.
• Experience developing trade workflows and integrating external trading platforms with Murex.
• Experience using MxMLExchange, MXOpenConnect, Murex APIs, and Datamart.
• Experience with SQL for reporting, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
• Experience working with Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with Murex proprietary technologies, including Murex Scripting Language (MSL), XMLF, Data Query Language (DQL), and MxML.
• Experience configuring and supporting Murex interface tools such as MDIT, MarkitWire, BSMT, and MarkitCredit.
• Experience troubleshooting Straight Through Processing (STP), trade feeds, and production issues.
• Experience creating automation scripts using Shell or Python.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with Front Office, Back Office, or Risk Management teams.
• Experience supporting financial markets or capital markets applications.
• Java programming experience.
• Experience working directly with market data providers and external financial data integrations.
