Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding a Munitions Project Manager to join our team!

Essential Job Functions:

The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:
• Leads federal (DoD) and commercial projects focused on environmental investigations and remediation of munitions under CERCLA or RCRA.
• Establish clear expectations for project requirements, schedule and budget with the internal project team members and subcontractors.
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, the public, and Tetra Tech management in a clear and concise manner.
• Facilitate client, project, and public meetings.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Drafts technical deliverables including QAPPs, field memorandums, and reporting documents such as Remedial Investigation Reports, Feasibility Studies, and Remedial Action Completion reports.
• Provides strong technical leadership for the multi-disciplinary project team. Effectively coordinate and communicate with subject matters experts and field staff integral to performance of a munitions response project.
• Responsible for proposal development. Coordinate with technical team, scheduler, and cost estimator to prepare a bid identifying technical solutions and risk management strategies.
• Monitor project execution to ensure conformance with corporate policies and procedures and elevate any issues to the appropriate management staff.
• Proactively monitor baseline plans for any changes and support variance analysis and planning of corrective actions, timely invoicing, Accounts Receivable (AR) tracking and avoidance of unrecoverable costs.
• Support the attainment of project profitability objectives and Return on Investment (ROI) by conducting sound business management practices.
• Promote and support our company's Zero Incident Performance safety program.
• Procure, select and oversee subcontractors.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors from an accredited institution with a focus in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of Department of Defense (DoD) MMRP experience is required, with a minimum of 2 years' experience managing environmental or traditional projects at the field operational level (field work/field oversight).
• Relevant MMRP experience at a DoD facility or Formerly Used Defense Site within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of DoD policies and guidance applicable to the Military Munitions Response Program and CERCLA.
• Strong writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Direct experience as a Project Manager on USACE projects.
• Knowledgeable about Advanced Geophysical Classification projects.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer.
• Ability to travel for client and Tetra Tech meetings, as needed.

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
• Occasional site visits to project sites may expose PM to variable weather conditions, outdoor work and noise.

Additional Information:
• Full-time position.
• Must be willing to travel for short time periods.
• This position is flexible and is mostly remote. However, the employee is expected to engage in the nearby Tetra Tech office environment and be in the office at least 1 day per week.

Compensation:

Pay commensurate with experience.
Pay Range: $80k-$110k
