Overview

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for building stronger communities? We're on the hunt for a Project Manager to help lead and grow our thriving Municipal Services team in Toledo, OH.

In this high-impact role, you'll work directly with city and county leaders, oversee infrastructure and civil site projects from concept to completion, and guide multidisciplinary teams toward success. Whether it's water systems, roadway improvements, stormwater upgrades, or planning future-ready spaces - you'll be the force behind projects that directly shape the places we live, work, and play.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of effective work plans and labor budgets for approval by supervisor.
  • Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy client.
  • Oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects.
  • Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisor's approval.
  • Ensure all project work is performed and completed in accordance with QA/QC standards, systems and procedures as designated for project.
  • Review monthly labor and cost reports to ensure projects are being completed at the pre-established goal.
  • Assist with mentoring junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
  • Assist with the preparation for public hearings, meetings, and any other presentations in relation to current projects.
  • Work efficiently with the Billing Department to authorize and transmit bills to client. Follows up with clients for timely payments.
  • May oversee the activities of assigned staff, including but not limited to timesheet review and approval, performance evaluation and daily supervision.
  • Prepare production documents and conduct kickoff/team meetings.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Interpret ordinances and regulations to determine project impact.
  • Attend client meetings, bid openings, and construction meetings.
  • Review cost estimates for alignment with client budgets and goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering is required.
  • 8+ years of related engineering experience is required, preferably with municipal projects.
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Ability to learn and apply technical skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
