Are you a Civil Engineer who thrives on serving local communities? Join our collaborative, forward-thinking team as a Municipal Civil Engineer with options in our Allentown office. You9ll partner with township officials and public agencies to plan, design, review, and oversee infrastructure improvements and land development activities. From roadways and stormwater to public facilities, you9ll ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards while supporting sustainable growth, public safety, and infrastructure integrity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, an effective communicator, and committed to building lasting relationships with municipal partners. What You Will Do 3 Review and approve subdivision and land development plans in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC). 3 Design and manage public works projects (roadways, stormwater systems, sanitary sewers, and recreational facilities). 3 Conduct field inspections and prepare detailed engineering reports and recommendations for municipal governing bodies. 3 Coordinate with developers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance, quality, and timely completion. 3 Provide technical guidance on zoning, environmental impact, and stormwater management matters. 3 Prepare bid documents, cost estimates, and construction specifications for municipal infrastructure projects. 3 Assist municipalities with grant applications, funding strategies, and long-range capital improvement planning. 3 Present findings and recommendations to municipal officials and the public. 3 Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of the team. 3 Stay current with evolving codes, standards, and best practices in municipal engineering. What you Bring 3 Bachelor9s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program 3 5+ years of relevant civil/site design experience 3 3+ years of experience in municipal engineering, including plan reviews and infrastructure design 3 EIT required; PE license preferred 3 Strong working knowledge of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), DEP regulations, and other applicable state and federal standards 3 Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office 3 Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset 3 Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. 3 Valid driver9s license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
