Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Multifamily Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. In this role, this individual will work closely with the onsite apartment management team, FCP construction and asset managers, and other corporate personnel. This position involves consistent travel to properties throughout the states of Texas and the Southwest.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partner with onsite teams and other FCP professionals to survey the construction needs and identify opportunities across multifamily properties; and translate those needs and opportunities into long-term capital improvement plans
  • Write scopes of work for projects in the long-term capital improvement plans, bid them out to 3rd party vendors, and contract with vendors to complete the projects
  • Manage the completion of projects by monitoringprogress; ensuring that workplace safety standards are upheld; and holding contractors accountable to complete work on time, within budget and in accordance with the scope of work
  • Maintain constant communication with onsite apartment team and FCP professionals by providing frequent project updates
  • Perform other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 5 years' construction management or senior property maintenance experience
  • Experience managing multifamily renovation, repositioning, or capital improvement projects is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of residential building mechanical systems, renovation procedures, and material
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage vendor and contractor relationships
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel; and proficient at learning additional programs
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A team-oriented mindset and leadership abilities
  • Valid driver license and willingness to travel regularly to project sites
