Position Overview

Bastion Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with active licensure in at least six states to join our nationwide telehealth provider network.

The ideal candidate is comfortable evaluating and treating a broad range of patient concerns through telehealth. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual patient consultations through Bastion Health's HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patient concerns within the Nurse Practitioner's education, experience, licensure, and scope of practice
  • Provide care related to primary and preventive health, sexual and reproductive health, behavioral wellness, and general well-being
  • Educate patients and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Review patient medical histories, symptoms, laboratory results, and other relevant clinical information
  • Order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
  • Prescribe medications through the electronic health record when clinically appropriate
  • Identify conditions requiring in-person evaluation, specialist care, or emergency treatment and provide appropriate referrals or escalation
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation
  • Provide an excellent patient experience and foster strong provider-patient relationships
  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, care coordinators, and other members of the care team
  • Follow all applicable federal and state regulations, clinical protocols, company policies, and professional standards
  • Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, and occasional team meetings

Required Qualifications
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification from an accredited certifying organization
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or APRN licenses in at least six U.S. states
  • Active and unrestricted registered nursing licenses associated with the applicable advanced practice licenses
  • Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current national board certification in an applicable population focus
  • At least one year of relevant clinical experience
  • Experience evaluating and treating adult patients
  • Strong clinical judgment, including the ability to recognize when telehealth is not appropriate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with electronic health records, video platforms, and other healthcare technology
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote clinical team
  • Reliable internet connection and a private workspace suitable for confidential telehealth visits
  • Availability for a minimum of 10 hours per week, including clinical and related non-clinical responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Family Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Active Nurse Practitioner licenses in 10 or more states
  • Active and unrestricted DEA registration
  • Previous telehealth or virtual-care experience
  • Experience in primary care, family medicine, urgent care, men's health, sexual health, reproductive health, or preventive care
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses based on organizational needs
  • Evening or weekend availability
