Key ResponsibilitiesThis role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Lead, coach and develop a field-based MSL team to deliver Medical Affairs plans and team performance goals.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with external experts, professional societies and clinical networks.
- Design and oversee scientific engagement activities, advisory boards and educational programs.
- Translate external insights into local evidence generation, clinical research input and medical strategy.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian regulations, codes and medical governance standards.
- Collaborate across commercial, access and global medical teams to support launch and lifecycle activities.
Why you?Basic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MSc, PhD, MD, PharmD) or equivalent clinical experience.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years in Medical Affairs, MSL roles, clinical practice, or pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Proven people management experience leading and developing direct reports.
- Strong external engagement and relationship management skills with healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly for field-based activities.
Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Prior experience leading field-based MSL teams in a matrixed organisation.
- Experience contributing to evidence generation, clinical research or health economics and outcomes research.
- Proven strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into local tactical plans.
- Experience supporting health technology assessment or market access initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management across medical, commercial and global teams.
