LJB Canada, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Project Engineer for the Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF) on the Calgary Green Line LRT project. You will play a key role in supporting the design, construction, and commissioning of the facility. This includes ensuring technical compliance, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the successful delivery of this critical infrastructure component.

Annual Compensation: $140,000 - 160,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

MSF PROJECT ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Support the execution of the MSF in alignment with project goals and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure integration of MSF requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Assist in the development and review of technical specifications, drawings, and construction documentation.
  • Participate in risk assessments, constructability reviews, and value engineering exercises.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities for MSF systems and infrastructure.
  • Liaise with municipal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and delivery partners to ensure compliance and alignment.
  • Prepare progress reports, technical memos, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to cost control, schedule management, and change management processes elated to the MSF scope.
  • Other duties as assigned.


MSF PROJECT ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).


Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure or transit projects, ideally with exposure to maintenance facilities or rail systems.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery models including EPCM or Delivery Partner frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Canadian building codes, transit safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Experience working on large-scale transit or rail infrastructure projects a plus.
  • Knowledge of LRT systems, maintenance operations, and asset management practices a plus.
  • Previous involvement in public-private partnerships or municipal infrastructure delivery preferred.
