MRP Master Data 3 Job Responsibilities:
Maintain detailed records for each part or component, including technical specifications, procurement type, and supplier information.
Update and verify Bill of Materials (BOM): The hierarchical list of sub-assemblies, components, and raw materials required to build a product.
Defines the availability of materials and work centers over time, including lead times and production windows.
Specifies the quantity of each material needed for a given production order.
Defines safety stock levels and time periods for planning.
Create configurations that determine how MRP calculates requirements and schedules production, including components that are highly specialized, precision-critical, and often subject to strict quality and regulatory standards.
Integrate historical data, production schedules, and market trends to predict material needs.
Align procurement, inventory, and production to avoid delays or excess stock.
Ensure that all materials meet certification and regulatory requirements.
Reduce waste and optimize production schedules to meet tight deadlines.
