Overview

Summary: The MRB Support Engineer will work closely with QC personnel, Operation, Supply Chain, Suppliers and engineering personnel to provide proper engineering disposition review of rework opportunity of MRB items.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Engineering support to QC, Operation and Suppliers in terms of rework instructions.
  • Analyzing and verify rework opportunity of MRB items
  • Analyzing and provide answer to suppliers as engineering related questions arise.
  • Resolve and trouble-shoot with Shop/QC personnel upon request.
  • Plan for proper sequence of manufacturing processes.
  • Create and release rework routers for re-workable MRB items.
  • Identifying planned operation support requirements.
  • Work hand-in-hand with QC MRB personnel on MRB items.
  • Evaluate MRB product variation condition for potential submission
  • Work hand-in-hand with customer MRB engineering on submitted MRB product, upon deem worth submission.
  • Maintain records of customer engineering rework dispositions.
  • Producing accurate and detailed working instruction to achieve efficient rework process flow.
  • Participate in the improvement process by documenting process changes in planning.
  • Propose feasible solutions for future overall process improvements.

Education/Experience:

Must have a minimum of 10 years of aerospace manufacturing and/or inspection experience, and a minimum of five years99 experience in aerospace engineering process review.

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

  • Must be able to read customer provided drawing(s)
  • Proficient in use of MRP system
  • Knowledgeable in various manufacturing processes
  • Capable of readings portable measuring equipment
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail oriented with meticulous work habits
  • Team oriented
