Standard Job DescriptionYou will be the Aeronautical Engineer Sr - E3 for the Material Review Board (MRB) which is responsible for dispositions of nonconformances in order to maintain full structural and functional aircraft capabilities.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Aeronautical Engineer Sr - E3 you will be responsible for leading material review activities that ensure aircraft component functional compliance throughout the F-35 production line.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Investigate anomalies, develop technical solutions, and release dispositions for high-performance aeronautical parts and assemblies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional groups including Stress/Service Life, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Test, Structures, Systems Design, Safety, Materials and Processes.
- Partner with the production floor and customer engineering staff to drive workflow improvements, embed best practices, and manage lessons learned.
- Provide MRB team coverage periodically for weekend and off-shift support; travel to remote sites as needed.
- Maintain physical agility to access defects on F-35 aircraft and ensure compliance throughout the production line.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering field.
- Experience with CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Unigraphics, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.
- Experience providing engineering support for aircraft production, modification, or sustainment.
Desired Skills- Experience with CATIA V5 and Team Center.
- Experience with metallic and composite design and/ or analysis.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Prior experience/ role with MR Engineering signature authority.
- Strong internal and external customer focus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00
