Job Summary: Supervise, coordinate and prioritize all work performed by motor rewind technicians and motor and pump mechanics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to review all repair data gathered by technicians.
- Schedule and prioritize all work to be performed.
- Direct technicians and specialists in proper maintenance of Rewind Dept.
- Observe and supervise all company rules, regulations and safety procedures.
- Complete weekly Issued Continual Awareness Trainings with technicians and ensure proper understanding.
- Assures that all work completed meets EASA standards.
- Assist in yearly EASA Accreditation Audits.
- Ensure that proper tools and necessary equipment are available, in good condition and calibrated within standards.
- Ensure that all equipment, material and tools are properly locked away in motor shop cage.
- Monitor time-and-material costs for each job.
- Conduct employee performance review.
- Provide customer support and technical assistance when necessary.
- Frequently travels to customer sites to evaluate equipment, deliver completed motors, and perform onsite diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform Rewind or repair work when needed.
- Review all test data for motors and pumps upon completion of repair.
- Coordinate daily with office manager regarding shop operation, job scheduling, repair estimates, customer's concerns and employee performance.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in electric motor rewinding, electric motor mechanical repair and some supervisory experience.
- Proficient in NAVSEA Standard Items associated with Electric Motors (e.g. 009-15, 009-17, 009-33, 009-113).
- Understanding of EASA AR100 standards.
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Able to obtain and maintain access to military and government installations and private shipyards.
Pay Range
The pay range for this is $84,000 to $102,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education and experience.
