The Mortgage Underwriting & Appraisals area is responsible for evaluating mortgage applications and property valuations to ensure sound credit decisions, accurate risk assessment, and compliance with all regulatory and investor requirements. Activities may include:
  • Analyzing borrower credit profiles, income, assets, and collateral
  • Reviewing appraisal reports for accuracy and adherence to standards
  • Determining the overall creditworthiness and risk level of mortgage requests
  • Applying underwriting guidelines
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks
  • Ensuring the integrity and consistency of valuation processes
