Mortgage Loan Originator (HELOC Brokerage)

Overview:
Builds and scales a modern AI-enabled HELOC brokerage delivering fast, low-friction loan origination at the point of sale. Operates in a high-performance fintech environment leveraging automation, data, and intelligent workflows. Converts inbound merchant-sourced leads into funded HELOCs, provides hands-on operations support across the loan lifecycle, ensures compliance, and drives a seamless borrower experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Owns end-to-end origination of HELOC loans sourced from inbound merchant-channel leads
- Provides operations support across the loan lifecycle, including application intake, document collection, conditions clearing, and pipeline coordination
- Manages high-volume pipeline with speed accuracy and disciplined follow-through
- Leverages AI-enabled tools to enhance borrower engagement and conversion
- Executes within automated digital workflows minimizing manual intervention
- Ensures compliance with regulatory investor and internal standards
- Identifies and escalates risks exceptions and compliance concerns
- Collaborates cross-functionally to progress loans and resolve blockers
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Holds active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator license and expands licensing footprint as required
- Demonstrates 1-2 years of mortgage origination experience in brokerage, fintech, or loan operations environment
- Balances loan origination with hands-on operationl support and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Applies strong knowledge of HELOC products borrower qualification and loan structuring
- Drives results with urgency accountability and consistent conversion of inbound opportunities
- Collaborates effectively with operations compliance and partners to achieve results
- Communicates clearly and translates complex financial concepts for borrowers and stakeholders
- Integrates data guidelines and risk factors to make sound decisions and anticipate downstream impacts
- Maintains knowledge of loan origination systems digital platforms and automated workflows

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this role ranges from $80,000 per year to $100,000 per year. Compensation will be determined by several factors, including relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
