Full Job Description
Overview

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Data Analyst with 3-5 years of experience turning data into decisions. Technical skills matter, but what matters more is your ability to ask good questions, frame findings clearly, and help us make better decisions faster. You’ll leverage modern AI tools and automation to help you achieve these outcomes.

The ideal candidate has working knowledge of SQL and Tableau, knows their way around a server, and is comfortable with command prompting.  You should have a solid grasp of all stages in the mortgage originations pipeline, and the proven ability to help drive strategy and influence decisions through well-communicated analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Communicate your findings with your coworkers simply and clearly.
  • Support forecasting and predictive modeling initiatives (experience in this area is a strong plus).
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau and SQL to support the business, identify risks, and opportunities.
  • Engineer and build data workflows to support analyses and reports.
  • Partner with business teams to understand objectives and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on pull-through, turn time, and other key performance metrics around Sales and Marketing Campaigns.
Qualifications
  • Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer/data science or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Data Analyst or Data Scientist role, ideally within mortgage origination or servicing.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data to business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills – you can influence through data, not just report it.
  • Exposure to predictive modeling and Python is a plus.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with mortgage origination workflows, including CRM, loan origination, underwriting, and servicing.
  • Experience analyzing pull-through rates, turn times, and operational KPIs.
  • Understanding of market trends and their implications for mortgage lending strategies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Tableau, Excel, SQL and other BI tools.
  • Experience with Python, SAS, or R for advanced data analysis is desirable.

About the Team

You'll join the analytics team at Spring EQ, where data isn't a back-office function — it's how the business decides where to focus. We support originations, wholesale/broker operations, underwriting policy, and servicing, which means the questions we answer range from "where are loans stalling in the pipeline?" to "how should we forecast next quarter's funding?" We work close to the decisions: sales, operations, and leadership come to us to size opportunities and pressure-test assumptions.

Our stack is SQL Server and Tableau at the core, with Python and modern AI tooling increasingly woven into how we build — we'd rather automate a recurring report or stand up an agent than run the same query by hand every week. If you like owning a problem end to end, being trusted to say what the data actually shows, and working somewhere that's actively modernizing how analytics gets done, you'll fit in here.

Healthy work-life balance.

We are committed to supporting a healthy work-life balance and fostering an environment of productivity and collaboration. This position follows a hybrid schedule for team members working in our corporate offices, combining on-site presence with remote flexibility. Our hybrid model is designed to promote teamwork and engagement while also providing the adaptability professionals need to manage their responsibilities effectively.
