Modular Inspector is responsible for traveling to client manufacturing facilities and sites and conducting inspections per the approved quality procedures, plans and per the required state rules and regulations. This position will travel at least 80% of the time.

What you'll do:- Perform in-plant inspections: Inspect modular units, components, and building systems during manufacturing.
- Verify compliance: Compare work against approved drawings, specifications, engineering requirements, codes, and program standards.
- Inspect construction and materials: Review concealed construction and verify materials, components, equipment, and assemblies meet approved requirements.
- Monitor quality control: Verify compliance with approved QA/QC procedures and review required production, inspection, and corrective-action records.
- Document inspections: Prepare inspection reports, photographs, observations, and production
- Support certification: Verify completed units meet applicable requirements before certification, labeling, or state insignia is authorized.
- Conduct audits: Perform periodic plant audits and surveillance inspections to ensure continued
- Coordinate with stakeholders: Work with manufacturers, engineers, project managers, Intertek staff,
- Travel: Travel to manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S. and, when required, internationally.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of past building inspection experience (modular/state program experience preferred).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight travel and, when required, international travel [Physical requirements, if applicable]
- Working knowledge of building construction methods and code compliance
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and approved plans
- Ability to perform and document factory inspections, identify deficiencies, and verify corrective actions
- Basic computer skills for completing inspection reports, photographs, email, and electronic project documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with manufacturers, engineers, plan reviewers, project managers, and regulatory personnel
Requirements & Qualifications:- ICC C5 - Commercial Combination Inspector (Required)
B2 Building + E2 Electrical + M2 Mechanical + P2 Plumbing - California HCD Factory-Built Housing FBH License (Ability to obtain within 6 months of employment)
- ICC Commercial/Residential Building Inspector certifications (Ability to obtain within 6 months of employment)
Preferred Qualifications and Credentials:- ICC R5 - Residential Combination Inspector (Preferred)
B1 Building + E1 Electrical + M1 Mechanical + P1 Plumbing - ICC Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner credentials
- ICC Fire Inspector credentials
- Florida Standard Modular Inspector (SMI)
- Ohio Industrialized Unit Inspector
- IIBC Inspector
- Other state-specific modular inspection licenses as needed
