Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) with engineering and requirements development expertise leveraging a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to support the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
- Candidate will support the TSA's Security Capabilities (SC), Requirements and Engineering (R&E).
- Candidate will provide expert engineering and analysis support contributing to the development of requirements artifacts, to include Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Operational Requirements Document (ORD), and Functional Requirements Document (FRD) for current and future transportation security equipment.
- Candidate will promote, develop processes, and leverage MBSE methodologies and tools to support requirements development.
- Position includes a telework or fully remote option; however, preference will be given to local (DC Metro Area) candidates.
- Other TSA engineering needs as determined.
Required Skills and Education:Candidate must possess the following:
- Bachelor's of Science degree required in mechanical, electrical, or systems/software/computer engineering, or other related disciplines.
- Minimum of five years of experience in related systems engineering and requirements development.
- Knowledge in systems engineering, MBSE, systems development methodology, and project management.
- 2 Years experience with either MagicDraw, Cameo, Rational Rose, DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System), or any of their extensions, or competing vendors' tools.
- Knowledge of the Development Life Cycle Framework for translating user requirements, mission needs and gaps into functional and system level requirements.
- Preference for experience with DHS or DoD acquisitions to include the development of operational requirements and writing functional and technical requirements documents such as CONOPS, ORD and FRD.
- Preference for knowledge and experience with the transportation security domain.
Security Clearance:Candidate must:
- Be able to pass DHS suitability screening or DHS financial responsibility standards.
- Have or be eligible to receive a DHS Secret security clearance. Existing Secret Clearance is a plus.
