The RoleWe're looking for an experienced mobile engineer to help us transform TruckSmarter's new vision into a reality for all the freight industry. In this role, you'll:
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms using React Native (with support to learn React Native on the job).
- Provide guidance on mobile app best practices, coding standards, and new technologies.
- Review code and offer constructive feedback to peers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to align on requirements and deliver solutions.
- Design frontend deployment pipelines balancing velocity and reliability to help frontend engineers build excellent product experiences for our users.
- Make crucial architectural decisions that will impact feature development for years to come.
What You'll Do- Owning large surface area within our product & see things go from 0 to 1.
- Comfort in ambiguous situations. You'll be responsible for scaffolding out new web services and deciding on what tools and frameworks we will use moving forward.
- Working across the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization through production.

- Solving problems with pragmatic yet sophisticated solutions-you know how to strive for simplicity without compromising the more complex use cases.
- Comfortable working directly with designers across product and brand.
- Work cross-functionally with the team to shape the product from strategy, definition to execution, validation, and future iterations.
What We're Looking For- 3 - 7 years of experience building frontend applications that are used by a significant number of users.
- Proficiency with technologies such as React Native/Flutter, React, and Next.js.
- Experience with mobile design patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM, VIPER), modern architecture, and best practices.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the capability to drive cross-functional requirements with business, product, operations and engineering teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
