Syntax is seeking an MM Public Cloud Consultant to support the design, configuration, and delivery of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solutions with a focus on Materials Management. In this role, you will work closely with clients and cross-functional project teams to translate business requirements into effective cloud-based supply chain solutions, helping organizations improve process efficiency, standardization, and operational visibility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the design and configuration of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud MM processes, including procurement, inventory management, goods movements, and material planning.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, assess process gaps, and align standard SAP Public Cloud capabilities to business needs.
- Translate client business requirements into functional designs, solution recommendations, and implementation deliverables.
- Support fit-to-standard workshops and guide clients toward best-practice SAP Public Cloud processes.
- Configure and validate MM-related business processes in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
- Participate in testing cycles, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Support data migration, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Work closely with technical, functional, and project management teams to ensure successful delivery across project milestones.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and help drive timely resolution.
- Provide functional expertise and guidance to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and end-user support as needed.
- Promote process efficiency, standardization, and adoption of cloud best practices.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in SAP Materials Management or related supply chain functional roles.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, preferably including Public Cloud implementations.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end MM processes, including purchasing, inventory, material master data, and logistics execution.
- Experience supporting SAP implementation projects from design through deployment.
- Ability to lead requirements workshops and communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process gaps and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience with testing, documentation, and production support activities.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented consulting environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud best practices, extensibility concepts, and fit-to-standard delivery approach.
- Exposure to adjacent SAP functional areas such as SD, MM-IM, procurement integration, or supply chain planning.
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing project environments.
- Familiarity with cloud transformation programs and enterprise process standardization initiatives.
- An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.
Education & Certifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- SAP certification in Materials Management, SAP S/4HANA, or Public Cloud solutions preferred.
- Additional certifications in supply chain, procurement, or related SAP functional areas are an asset.
