This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

You will have ownership of ground support equipment coordination, procedure development, and vehicle level ENV testing on our MK1 Lunar Lander program. You will push to efficiently complete integrated system testing for multiple test campaigns such as TVAC, EMI, Structural Test, etc. You will coordinate with Operations, Lunar Permanence, and other organizations to ensure we meet schedule objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test procedures of Integrated vehicle systems to satisfy program objectives
  • Coordinate, setup, install, and operate vehicle Electrical Ground Support Equipment test capabilities
  • Develop test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing
  • Maintain appropriate test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability
  • Write test procedures, manage procedural red lines, and incorporate updates during test campaigns
  • Oversee vendor design and fabrication of test and support equipment
  • Participate in gated design and Test Readiness Reviews
  • Perform facility activation tests if necessary
  • Follow safety policies during test planning and operations
  • Troubleshoot anomalies real-time
  • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks
  • Bring high energy to achieve ambitious goals.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical, Electrical, or related engineering fields
  • 2+ years experience with a background in environmental testing
  • Experience with developing, writing, and executing test procedures
  • Willingness to commit to tight deadlines and work extended hours as needed
  • Experience reading P&ID and Electrical schematics/layout designs
  • Experience developing systems installation and checkout procedures
  • Understand fundamentals of fluids and electrical instrumentation


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience with a background in thermal, EMI, structural, or testing systems.
  • Experience in system-level testing of spaceflight hardware through the development, qualification, and acceptance of test campaigns
  • Experience with test facility instrumentation and Data Acquisition and Control Systems
  • Experience with high voltage, 3-phase power systems
  • Familiarity with cleanroom work and its associated best practices
  • ASME codes and local building standards
  • Proficiency in LabView, Python, MATLAB
