Full Job Description
Mission Support Engineer, Electromagnetic Warfare
ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Business Line builds next-generation electronic warfare platforms that integrate with the broader Anduril Lattice ecosystem. The Mission Support team is responsible for ensuring these systems are operationally ready, successfully deployed, and continuously-supported.
ABOUT THE JOB

As a Mission Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in keeping Anduril's EW systems running at peak performance. Our products are designed to provide real-time radio frequency (RF) spectrum awareness, threat detection, and electronic mitigation capabilities at the tactical edge. End users and deployed Anduril personnel will rely on your critical thinking and diligence.

You will be the critical link between fielded systems and engineering -- feeding data, insights, and operational requirements directly back to development teams to drive product improvements. You will thrive in this position if you have a passion for teamwork and solving complicated software, hardware, and RF systems issues. You must be quick to learn, adopt, and execute complex technical functions. You will be expected to take extreme ownership of your work and support deployed systems across multiple operational environments. Everything you do will be leveraged to shape the future of Anduril systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own the operational performance of deployed EW systems across multiple theaters, serving as the primary technical interface between field operations and engineering
  • Investigate and resolve system anomalies end-to-end - from initial detection through root cause isolation, corrective action, and post-incident documentation
  • Contribute to the validation and fielding of new EW software builds, including pre-deployment verification and operational acceptance testing
  • Leverage Linux diagnostics, log analysis, and command-line tooling to drive resolution and deploy cutting edge software solutions
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to continuously enhance fleet-wide monitoring, alerting, and health telemetry for EW assets
  • Aggregate and interpret field performance data to identify failure patterns, inform preventive maintenance strategies, and guide engineering investment decisions
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, managing technical issues with clear communication, defined timelines, and follow-through from identification to closure
  • Translate operational feedback and mission requirements into actionable input for product development, advocating for capability improvements grounded in real-world employment
  • Develop and maintain deep technical fluency across the EW product portfolio, enabling effective communication between operators, engineers, and program stakeholders
  • Orchestrate cross-functional responses to complex sustainment challenges, aligning business operations, engineering, and field support teams to optimize system availability
  • Provide structured mission insights and deployment lessons-learned to software and hardware engineering teams, shaping roadmap priorities and informing design decisions
  • Travel to field sites, if desired and opportunities arise - not required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years' defense industry, USG, or DoD/DoW experience performing technical operations
  • Experience working with and/or deploying complex software solutions
  • Experience with distributed communication networks and system-of-systems architectures
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate disaggregated networking systems
  • A desire to perform high-stakes, critical, and time-sensitive functions with real-world impact
  • A bias for action, extreme ownership, and self-driving motivation to see projects through
  • Experience supporting incident-driven workflows
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work non-standard hours and weekends, as needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in STEM discipline, preferably in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, or similar
  • Industry networking certifications, such as CompTIA Sec+/Net+, CCNA, Linux+, or similar
  • Experience supporting or operating EW systems, software defined radios, or RF sensors as a DoD/DoW employee, contractor, or end-user
  • Familiarity with RF and EW applications, power, antenna concepts, and spectrum analysis
  • Experience building, deploying, or testing autonomous systems or software in real-world operational environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management processes
  • Experience with containerized deployments (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
  • Experience with observability tooling such as DataDog, Grafana, and Victor Ops; exposure to software development tooling such as Git and Jira
  • Experience with Nix/NixOS
  • Experience performing trend analysis to inform business decisions
  • Experience with military systems and operational tactics
  • Active SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance
