Mission Command Exercise Lead
Fort Bragg, NC


Summary:
ATS is looking for a qualified Mission Command Exercise Leader to support the Special Operations Mission Training Center Facility at Fort Bragg, NC.

Job Duties:

Lead the design, planning, and execution of SOF Mission Command Exercises (MCX/MRX) at the battalion through SOJTF level, ensuring operational realism, doctrinal accuracy, and alignment with USSOCOM and Joint force requirements.

Apply former battalion-level command and SOJTF primary staff experience to replicate mission command processes, including MDMP, battle rhythm integration, targeting cycles, and command post operations within complex training environments.

Supervise and synchronize exercise development teams, integrating intelligence, operations, sustainment, information operations, cyber, and interagency elements into cohesive, multi-domain training scenarios.

Manage the full lifecycle of exercise resources and execution, overseeing personnel, timelines, infrastructure, networks, systems, and security requirements to deliver effective, high-fidelity Special Operations training outcomes.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum Education Requirement: Masters' degree required.
• Special Skills/Qualifications Required: Graduate of U.S. Army Special Forces Officer Qualifying Course (18A), and graduate of a U.S. military officer's Senior Service College.
• Minimal Background/Experience Required: Assignment to Special Operations Forces (Special Forces, Military Information Support Operations, Civil Affairs, Ranger Regiment, Special Operations Aviation, Special Mission units). Commanded at the battalion level or higher. Served as primary staff at the SOJTF level or higher. Experience supervising exercise coordination, design, and execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the basic considerations of exercise design. Experience managing the elements or resources of exercise development and execution (including, but not limited to, people, time, infrastructure, hardware, network, databases, software, and security).

The position requires strict adherence to Army physical security policies, discretion when handling sensitive information, constant attention to detail, and a strong customer-service mindset while operating within controlled access areas and under Secret-level security clearance requirements.
