As a Systems Engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape the space security cooperation and security assistance mission by providing technical expertise to integrate a U.S. Space Force mission area programs of record into the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) enterprise and enable export to international partners. You’ll coordinate with key stakeholders to support the technology release and foreign disclosure (TRFD) process and ensure compliance with Air Force Policy. You’ll develop and deliver high-quality written products and briefings to executive-level leadership to report programmatic milestones.
This position is full time onsite position located in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities
- Integrate U.S. Space Force mission-area programs of record into the FMS enterprise to enable export to international partners.
- Coordinate and lead technical release and foreign disclosure (TRFD) activities for program capabilities, ensuring compliance with applicable Air Force and DoD policies.
- Translate operational/customer needs into technical requirements and system specifications that support exportability and partner use.
- Prepare, review, and deliver high-quality written products (technical memos, TRFD packets, compliance documentation) supporting technology release decisions.
- Develop and present briefings to executive- and senior-level leadership that report programmatic milestones, TRFD status, and risk/mitigation plans.
- Engage and coordinate with key stakeholders — program offices, foreign disclosure officers, contracting, legal/compliance, acquisition, and international partners — to drive timely decisions.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and the FMS/security assistance processes to advise program planning and schedule impacts.
- Identify technical, policy, and security risks associated with foreign disclosures and FMS transfer; recommend mitigation strategies and implementation plans.
- Support technical reviews, integration activities, and test & evaluation planning to ensure the system meets both mission and exportability requirements.

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: A minimum of a TS clearance at time of applicaitonEducation: Bachelor’s degree in a systems engineering, mathematics, electrical engineering, or computer science fieldYears of Experience: 6+ years of experience with space operations with 3+ years of experience with the mission areaAdditional Experience:
- Knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and FMS policies, processes, and stakeholders
- Ability to use MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, and communicate at the executive level

Pay RangeUSD $130,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
