Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has an exciting career opportunity for a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer who will be involved in leading or participating in analysis of future Missile Defense System (MDS) architectures and concepts, and modeling and simulation (M&S) tool development to support MDS architecture assessment.
Responsibilities
- Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps and/or improve performance
- Assist with the development of analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools using the DoD High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, assess analysis results, prepare analysis briefs/reports, and provide reviews of analysis products
- Support modeling & simulation (M&S) efforts related to the above to tailor tools to specific analysis plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Field with 7+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
- Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
- Successfully pass background and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M&S of MDS architectures
- Experience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving both directed and kinetic energy weapons and other future concepts
- Experience with HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plus
- Experience with BMD Benchmark
- Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities
- Specialized MDS analysis experience in threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures
- MBSE experience related to missile defense system architectures
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to perform technology assessment & analysis and provide insight on the utility of potentially useful technologies
- Solid understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts
- Experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures
- Experience with MATLAB
