Job Description

SAIC is seeking a Missile Defense Engineer to work closely with our experienced engineers and defense specialists to support missile defense projects, including systems analysis and simulation. This position is on-site in Arlington, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the modeling and analysis of missile defense systems and components.
  • Conduct simulations and analyze data to evaluate system performance.
  • Document findings and prepare technical reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) such as Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with missile defense systems and technologies.
  • Proficient in computer programming and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C++).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • U.S. citizenship, and an active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Prior experience related to missile defense, aerospace, operations research, systems or other related engineering fields.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and integration processes.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation software.
