Responsibilities

  • Create and plan turnaround work orders in Oracle
  • Collaborate with Capital Project Managers and teams for proper planning
  • Schedule turnaround work orders in Viziya Scheduler and Primavera P6
  • Develop understanding of critical and near-critical path jobs
  • Hold pre-turnaround planning meetings with contractors and PMs
  • Coordinate capital project requirements and resolve conflicts in work
  • Track and report progress on turnaround work orders during outages
  • Lead coordination calls for contractors to monitor progress
  • Identify and escalate high-risk activities to stakeholders
  • Participate in pre- and post-turnaround processes

The Turnaround Planner has responsibility for all Turnaround planning and scheduling deliverables for the Capital, Maintenance and Operations teams. This includes preparing, optimizing, updating and maintaining the plan and schedule to efficiently execute scope of work including resource optimization, checking availability of materials, completeness of work order packages. It also covers breaking down scope into executable shifts. Assigning trade resources and durations; developing BOMs; developing work packages, initial entry into the scheduling software. Ensure the Turnaround schedule meets the quality checks in relation to the Production and Turnaround window to determine Critical Path required. The incumbent coordinates with all Nutrien teams in Capital, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Procurement during the planning and execution stage and at all stages of the turnaround work processes. During execution they drive the schedule of work and report back progress to the area stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

Turnaround Planning & Execution: to deliver safe, cost effective and reliable Turnaround planning and scheduling for all TA related activities for Project, Maintenance and Operations stakeholders including:

  • Creating and Planning of Turnaround work orders in Oracle
  • Collaborating with Capital Project Managers, Contract Service Providers, Maintenance and Ops teams to ensure all steps of a project are properly planned and scheduled
  • Scheduling of Turnaround work orders in Viziya Scheduler and working with Contractor schedules in Primavera P6
  • Development and understanding of critical path and near critical path jobs
  • Hold pre-TA planning meetings with Contractors and PM's to review schedules and find ways to optimize resource leveling for the Turnaround
  • Coordinate and communicate Capital project requirements and identify potential conflicts in work between Capital, Maintenance and Operations for Turnaround duration
  • Track and progress Turnaround work orders and schedules during Turnaround outage, providing daily updates
  • Lead twice daily Turnaround coordination calls for Contractors to report their progress each shift. Ensuring that projects at risk of schedule slip are identified, and mitigations are put in place
  • Identification, review, and escalation of high-risk activities and communicate key issues and risks to the Turnaround stakeholders
  • Participate in both Pre Turnaround coordination and Post Turnaround Lessons Learned processes with key stakeholders
  • Daily Turnaround execution schedule compliance reporting to support Critical Path attainment during Turnaround outage
