Position Reports To: Mill Supervisor
Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Mill Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the mill's processing circuits, including monitoring equipment and operating conditions, identifying and responding to issues, and supporting consistent production. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure activities are completed safely, effectively, and in accordance with established procedures while contributing to production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor processing plant circuits as assigned by the Mill Supervisor, including Crushing, Grinding, Leaching/Elution, Reagents, Detox, and Tailings.
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned circuits to identify operational issues and ensure they are addressed promptly.
- Support the safe and efficient operation of all areas of the mill and immediately report any unsafe conditions to the Mill Supervisor.
- Develop a working knowledge of all mill circuits through training, technical materials, and hands-on experience.
- Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas at all times.
Qualifications- Five or more years of experience in a milling environment.
- Experience operating mill circuits, including Grinding, Leaching, Reagents, CND, Tailings, Crushing, Elution, and the Control Room.
- Knowledge of DeltaV or a comparable process control system, with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with computers and computer-based operating equipment.
- Ability to work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to take on different tasks and responsibilities to support the needs of the team.
- Willingness and ability to share knowledge and experience with others.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts on a 14-days-on/14-days-off schedule.
The anticipated salary for this position will be between $80,000 to 98,000.
