Qualifications

• 5-7 years in environmental management or engineering, ideally in wood product manufacturing.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication across all organizational levels.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations relating to air and water compliance.
• Experience with construction permitting and project management in environmental settings.
• Background in developing sustainable controls via an Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Understanding of emissions and treatment systems related to environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental compliance and adherence to corporate policies within the division.
• Develop a comprehension of the OSB manufacturing process and its environmental impacts.
• Standardize and enhance EMS controls related to permits, compliance, and documentation.
• Train Division Leadership and staff on environmental requirements and responsibilities.
• Cultivate partnerships with environmental consultants and trade organizations for best practices.
• Establish relationships with state regulators to ensure compliance and trustworthiness.
• Manage corrective actions from audits and evaluate compliance through self-assessments.
• Oversee the monthly environmental reporting program and prepare reports for corporate management.
