Position Overview- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction to 6th-7th grade students and develop effective lesson plans to support student learning.
- Create and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment that supports student learning and behavior expectations.
- Assess student progress, provide targeted feedback and interventions, and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to communicate student needs and maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, grades, and academic progress.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification in Mathematics preferred
- Non-certified applicants must have at least 12 college credits in mathematics and provide a copy of their transcripts
- 1-2 years of mathematics teaching experience required, including lesson planning and classroom management for classes of 16-34 students
