Join Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets team as a Midcontinent Gas Scheduler in Houston. In this role, you will coordinate and execute Macquarie's Midcontinent physical natural gas transactions, work closely with scheduling and trading teams to resolve operational and flow-related issues, and contribute to the optimization of Macquarie's transportation, storage, and supply assets. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate movement of natural gas while supporting the firm's commercial and trading objectives.

On a day-to-day basis, you will assist traders and fellow schedulers in managing physical gas positions by coordinating and submitting accurate, timely nominations with internal and third-party schedulers. This includes maintaining the internal scheduling system with planned and finalized activity, monitoring pipeline websites and electronic bulletin boards for outages, maintenance events, operational flow orders, and other critical notices, and proactively communicating impacts to relevant stakeholders. You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with pipeline operators, storage facilities, counterparties, and internal business partners to facilitate seamless operations. In addition, you will investigate and resolve scheduling discrepancies, support asset optimization efforts, and work closely with settlements teams to address invoicing and reconciliation issues as they arise. Regular and reliable attendance is expected, along with professional and respectful conduct. After-hours and weekend responsibilities are required, though these can be completed remotely.

- Two or more years of Midcontinent natural gas scheduling experience preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of pipeline nomination, confirmation, balancing, and scheduling processes
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Basic Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills
- Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to work effectively in an ever-changing, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
