Midshift APP Admitter - La Plata, MarylandWe have an opportunity for an experienced APP to join our well-established Hospital Medicine service at University of Maryland at Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. This is a full-time position.
Position Details- Flexible block schedule
- Shift time: typically 12p - 10p
- Average Patients per shift: 6-8
- EMR: EPIC
- ICU: Managed by the Intensivist
- Procedures/Vents: None
- Must be BC/BE in Internal Medicine with an active Maryland license, BLS, ACLS, DEA and CDS License
Job DescriptionOur hospitalist team provides inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds and planning for discharge.
- Follow all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records
- Contribute to the achievement of department goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards
- Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed
Requirements- 1+ years acute inpatient experience as an advanced practice provider
- Strong inpatient skill set
- Quality-focused team player
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
- Active license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration, BLS and ACLS
- Salary Range: $120k - $140k
