OpportunityPeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer/Analystto support our Huntsville, ALlocation.
We are seeking a motivated test engineer/analyst to join a well-established team supporting the development, test, and fielding of a tactical missile defense system. The selected candidate will work in an AVMC laboratory environment with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software and hardware, and digital representations of complex missile defense systems.
This is a full-time, on-site position at a Government customer location. The selected candidate will support multiple technical efforts involving missile defense performance analysis, modeling and simulation (M&S), post-flight reconstruction, integration, and risk-reduction activities.
Duties:
Designing, developing, and maintaining analysis tools supporting missile defense system and algorithm performance assessment
Performing complex analysis of missile defense system behavior, test data, and algorithm performance
Developing and maintaining test cases to support software integration and system integration activities
Supporting real-time HWIL testing using tactical software, hardware, and digital system representations
Applying systems engineering principles, concepts, and methods to analyze technical problems and develop practical solutions
Analyzing, documenting, and communicating test results through software and hardware test reports
Developing system requirements that support required system functionality
Supporting performance analysis, M&S, post-flight reconstruction, integration, and risk-reduction efforts as assigned
Preparing reports and briefings that clearly communicate complex system behavior, technical findings, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborating with Government customers, engineers, analysts, and test personnel across multiple concurrent efforts
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering, analysis, test, or systems engineering experience
Direct operational or test experience with the **Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS)**
Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or systems engineering using MATLAB or similar tools
Ability to identify and analyze technical problems, conduct research, summarize results, and develop appropriate recommendations
Ability to develop and contribute to technical reports and briefings for a broad range of audiences
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across multiple projects and technical efforts
Ability to travel up to 10%, as required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements:
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience developing, enhancing, or maintaining complex analysis tools using MATLAB
- Experience supporting real-time analysis in Linux and Windows operating system environments
- Experience with the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) weapon system
- Experience programming or analyzing data using C and/or C++
- Experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience supporting HWIL, system integration, missile defense, or tactical-system test environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
