Full Job Description
GENERAL FUNCTION: Under minimal supervision from the TM Sales Manager, supervises Treasury Management Sales team members. Establishes sales goals for team members, and ensures that team members meet and/or exceed goals and adhere to the Bank's policies and procedures. Responsible for both individual and team's new business development. Handles larger and more complex TM relationships. Mentors team members, especially on more complicated client treasury structures. Help develop less experienced Cash Management Representatives. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 30 Sales of Cash Management products and services (50%). 30 Devise and execute plans to achieve individual and team sales goals. 30 Assist RMs in meeting service charge/dda goals. Teach team members to accomplish the same. 30 Demonstrate proficiency in sales of all strategic TM products and the ability to identify targeted company needs with packaged product solutions for a client sale. 30 Devise and implement calling strategy to meet individual and team call quotas. 30 Develop cross-sell opportunities and train team members on a similar process. 30 Relationship Group Assignment (20%). 30 Maintain lines of communications with RMs individually and as a group. 30 Review sales goals with RMs and advise RMs of new product development. 30 Assess knowledge level of individual RMs and bring each up to a minimum standard. 30 Assist in proposal generation and other oral and written communications to customers. 30 Provide recommendations on sales opportunities to include sales to new prospects and cross-sell opportunities to existing clients. 30 Utilize Treasury Management Reviews as tool to generate cross-sells. 30 Become familiar with nuances of assigned RM business specialty group(s). 30 Ensure RMs are advised of calling strategies and updated on sales process. 30 Customer Service (10%). 30 Deliver timely resolution of customer issues. 30 Develop knowledge of internal resources for accurate response to customer issues. 30 Communicate product issues to management and escalate to Ops/Product team when required. 30 Recommend viable solutions to management and clients to solve future client issues. 30 Product Implementation (20%). 30 Ensure proper account documentation and all requisite agreement execution. 30 Verify proper pricing and track implementation progress. 30 Understand and communicate implementation time-line to align with customer expectations. 30 Exhibit proficiency in training clients on the use of TM products and services. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have at least 2 direct reports. Responsible for providing employees timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 30 Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. MBA or advanced degree desirable. 30 CCM certification preferred. 30 7-10 years' experience in a cash management sales environment. 30 Demonstrated record of consistently meeting or exceeding the full performance goal of the portfolio supported required. 30 Demonstrated knowledge of a wide array of cash management products. 30 Excellent oral and written skills. 30 Basic proficiency in PC software (MS Office). Michigan Commercial Payment Team Lead The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
