Mental Health Clinician I - First Episode Psychosis Program (FEP) - Unlicensed Location: Hanford, CA Position Type: Full-Time | Exempt Salary Range: $38.46 - $44.99 per hour Position Overview: Kings View is seeking a Mental Health Clinician I to join our First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program in Hanford. This position provides direct clinical services to transition-age youth and adults who are primarily diagnosed with severe mental illness, as well as support to their families and support systems. The clinician helps individuals work toward wellness and recovery goals through assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, care coordination, education, and collaboration with community partners. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Services: - Provide direct clinical services to individuals assigned to the clinician's caseload - Evaluate consumers for serious psychiatric concerns and develop appropriate treatment plans - Provide individual, group, conjoint, and family therapy using appropriate treatment modalities, with a primary clinical focus on First Episode Psychosis - Maintain a monthly productivity standard of 65% of working time - Complete same-day service documentation at a rate of 80% or better - Support consumers and their support systems in working toward individualized wellness and recovery goals Community Collaboration & Program Support: - Maintain positive working relationships with community partners, including Behavioral Health, Child Welfare Services, Probation, Adventist Health, and other community agencies - Participate in staff meetings and committee meetings as needed - Provide training presentations, consultation, education, and information to community agencies, individuals, and professionals as requested and as time allows - Promote timely access to mental health services and a positive presence within the community - Assist with after-hours crisis coverage on an infrequent basis when program needs require Documentation & Compliance: - Maintain registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Social Worker, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences - Achieve established performance standards and required competencies in the electronic health record system - Complete four hours of cultural humility training annually - Follow Kings View policies and procedures, administrative directives, applicable county, state, and federal requirements, and contractual performance obligations - Maintain familiarity with and adherence to Kings View's Code of Conduct and compliance program What You'll Bring: Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited graduate school - Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) - Current California Class C driver's license, insurable driving record, and proof of automobile liability insurance - Entry-level ability in direct, client-centered services with an interest in practicing psychotherapy Required Skills: - Strong organization and time-management skills - Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing clinical environment - Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team - Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills - Commitment to person-centered, recovery-oriented behavioral health services Professional Attributes: - Compassionate and client-centered - Organized, dependable, and adaptable - Collaborative and team-oriented - Comfortable working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness - Committed to professional growth, cultural humility, and quality clinical care Pre-Employment Requirements: - Background check - Drug screening - Live Scan (DOJ fingerprinting), when applicable - Verification of BBS associate registration - Valid California driver's license, acceptable driving record, and required automobile insurance Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in an office and clinical setting and requires regular collaboration with consumers, families, colleagues, and community partners.
