Full Job Description
Position Overview:

The Manager, Talent Acquisition, will co-develop, drive, and execute on the staffing strategies and programs that support the staffing priorities and needs for the company as well as coach and manage a team of recruiters. This individual will partner and collaborate with business operations team members as well as various leaders in the company to identify and fill positions across the company. This position requires a high level of enthusiasm and a strong work ethic with demonstrated experience in the skilled labor staffing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full-cycle recruiting across multiple sites
  • Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and hiring strategies
  • Manage sourcing, interviewing, and offer process
  • Analyze recruiting metrics, fill rates, conversion data, and hiring manager feedback to improve candidate quality and recruiting effectiveness
  • Hold regular check-ins, communicate performance expectations, and drive accountability against team and individual KPIs.
  • Partner with Managers to communicate role progress, challenges, market insights, and mitigation plans.
  • Manage and coach talent acquisition staff across multiple key locations to ensure open requisitions are filled in a timely manner.
  • Provide innovative insight and ideas for filling complex and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Manage annual performance evaluations for recruitment team and manage goal setting and achievement process.
  • Recruit for multiple high-level positions within assigned client group.
  • Partners with VP, Human Resources to work with all levels of management up to the COO level to develop and drive the recruiting strategies for current and future openings ensuring recruiting metrics are met and exceeded.
  • Partner and build relationships with hiring managers and regional leaders and attend regional operations meetings as needed to update the business on recruiting market data and collaborate on staffing strategies.
  • Develops and maintains technical knowledge in the specialized areas related to talent acquisition. Keeps abreast of industry trends and benchmarks other organizations and best practices to ensure optimal tools and resources are being utilized.
  • Research and report on competitor recruiting data, compensation, marketing, etc.
  • Develop and deliver tools (including Interview Guide development), training and coaching to hiring managers and others as needed to assure staffing methods are followed and optimize talent acquisition success and compliance.
  • Develop and format new interview guides, prescreens, and job descriptions specific and relevant to each role.
  • Proactively build and manage the effectiveness of sourcing avenues to attract potential candidates.
  • Partner with HR and Business partners to build Internship and College Partnerships.
  • Partner with VP, Human Resources in working with external 3rd party employment vendors as needed.
  • Manage CA Workforce Registry for existing staff.
  • Manage logistics and help attend various state-wide recruiting events (i.e. CAEYC, BOOST).
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop creative employer brand campaigns and brand presence across relevant social media platforms.
  • Oversee career sites and recruiting tools, ensuring a cohesive and engaging candidate experience.
  • Manage and oversee additional ongoing and seasonal TA Projects as needed.
  • Other activities and duties may be assigned as appropriate.
  • Support and partner with key stakeholders to provide educational recruiting process training, support compensation planning, employment offers, and internal equity.
  • Partner with management to develop/update job descriptions.
  • Partner with finance/accounting department to ensure monthly job allocation information is submitted on a timely basis.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of recruitment, including team leadership and recruiting management experience.
  • Strong understanding of recruiting processes, sourcing strategies, and process diagnosis.
  • Experience using and reporting on recruiting metrics and performance data to drive operational decisions.
  • Experience partnering with management and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite, teams, and google docs
  • Experience developing and elevating recruiter performance through structured coaching and performance management.
  • Experience using ATS systems and training recruiters in how to use them.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field.


Key Competencies :

  • Previous experience in managing full-life cycle recruitment through an Applicant Tracking System, preferably UKG, Paycom or Dayforce.
  • Proven effective interviewing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills through multiple vehicles and with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead as a change agent, as well as adapt to frequent changes based on overall business goals.

Working Conditions:

  • Generally pleasant working conditions.
  • Less than 50% of daily assignments involve prolonged physical effort.
  • Travel up to 20%.


Shift Type: Full Time, Hybrid

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Exempt, Typically 8 hour shifts
