Responsibilities

A $10,000 one-time sign-on incentive is available to fill-time, external candidates in exchange for a two (2) year commitment.

As Manager of Neuroscience Clinics (Neurology & Neurosurgery), you will serve as the operational backbone of our high-volume ambulatory clinics, ensuring seamless patient access, optimal clinic flow, and exceptional clinical quality. On any given day, you will partner directly with physicians and clinical leaders to solve real-time operational bottlenecks, optimize staffing and provider schedules, and lead frontline teams with clarity and aloha. From financial stewardship and workflow redesign to employee development and patient experience, you will drive the operational excellence that allows our care teams to thrive. We are seeking a decisive, highly collaborative leader with strong healthcare business acumen and a deep commitment to elevating neurological care for the communities of Hawaiʻi.

I. JOB SUMMARY:
• Manages the daily operations and directs the administration, management, coordination and integration of programs, regarding patient care activities and services for the areas assigned.
• Ensures functions, services, programs, and activities support short and long-range strategic plans and meet the goals and objectives of The Queen's Medical Center (QMC) and The Queen's Health Systems (QHS).
• Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and policies and procedures of QMC and QHS.
• Develops, coordinates, implements, and assesses for effectiveness, programs and projects to promote, enhance, and expand services provided for areas assigned.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Nursing or Healthcare Administration; or four (4) years progressive experience in ambulatory, preferably in a physician practice may be substituted for the educational requirement.
• Master's degree in Business, Nursing, Healthcare Management or related field preferred.

B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse preferred.

C. EXPERIENCE:
• In addition to the educational requirement, four (4) years experience in ambulatory operations or healthcare operations including at least two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience in a healthcare setting, medical office or clinic environment.
• Experience to demonstrate the following:
o Solid knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) and/or other information systems functionality including access and maintenance of the system controls.
o Strong leadership, facilitation and project management skills.
o Skill in dealing with multi-disciplinary teams and an appreciation in working effectively with competing priorities.
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
