Responsibilities

Manager - Risk Management (Healthcare)

Full Time

The Facility Risk Manager is responsible for assisting the Risk/PI Director in coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. Required tasks include, but are not limited to, conducting performance audits, monitoring quality and risk trends, policy and procedure development, and staff training. The Risk Management Programs are designed to comply with guidelines and standards of the Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory agencies.

Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) is a 178-bed acute care facility located in Streamwood, IL and has been providing mental health treatment to the Chicagoland community and the state of Illinois since 1991. We are dedicated to offering services to meet the ever-changing emotional and behavioral healthcare needs of children, adolescents, adults, and their families.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in a health related field REQUIRED, mental health experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric facility with knowledge of hig-risk areas and/or performance improvement activities preferred. Minimum one (1) year experience directly in risk management/quality improvement in a psychiatric facility REQUIRED.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge of hospital operations, risk identification, and performance improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Excel (Intermediate Level). Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize tasks and be extremely organized.
