Full Job Description
The Manager of Property and Facilities manages property and facilities operations to support business objectives through effective real estate, construction, and facility management practices. Leads teams and vendors responsible for office environments, construction projects, and building operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of services. This role primarily achieves results through others and is accountable for functional processes, people leadership, and operational execution. Responsibilities/Expectations: • Manages real estate and facilities operations, including property acquisition and disposition support, leasing activities, space planning, property management, and associated vendor relationships • Leads facilities planning and commercial construction projects to support evolving business requirements while balancing cost, schedule, quality, and operational needs • Oversees building operations, maintenance services, physical security support, and tenant-related activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient workplace environments • Directs revenue and expense tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for assigned properties and facilities operations • Negotiates and administers leases, construction agreements, service contracts, and other vendor arrangements to support operational objectives and maximize value • Coordinates emergency response activities and supports business continuity efforts related to facilities, building systems, and critical infrastructure • Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure office environments reflect organizational culture, support employee engagement, and align with business goals • Other duties as assigned Education/Experience: • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field and experience in commercial real estate, property management, construction management, facilities management, or a closely related discipline Other Requirements: • Experience leading employees, contractors, consultants, or cross-functional teams • Knowledge of commercial leasing, contract administration, budgeting, and project delivery principles • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders in a dynamic environment • Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills • Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence • Ability to travel approximately 20-30%, including occasional overnight travel • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification • Experience managing multi-tenant commercial office properties • Experience supporting high-rise office facilities and large-scale construction projects • Knowledge of real estate portfolio management, capital planning, and workplace strategy • Experience leveraging technology and business applications to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes #LI-AB1 Why Houston?
