The Role

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Program management position to set-up and lead the Frigate services contract.

Manage activities for the Frigate Class and derivative platforms, including but not limited to material, facilities, personnel, engineering, design, quality control, inspection and test facilities and management control, necessary to perform the requirements of this contract.

Responsible for developing and maintaining the Frigate class product and program configuration. Will serve as primary liaison between Program Management, Engineering, Planning, Business Management and Supply Chain Management teams to execute the Frigate services contract. Develop relationships and interface with Navy customer counterparts. Coordinate activities, provide communications to all company departments, and construct special projects as necessary. Develop tracking mechanisms to assess project costs, schedule, health and risks. Coordinate and track actions and commitments to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Monitoring project progress. Position requires coordination of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly report; interfacing with multiple stakeholders to assemble the reports.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus a minimum of 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's degree and 6 years relevant experience.

Nice to Have

Secret security clearance, familiarity with Ship design, configuration management, and change processes. The preferred candidate has impeccable written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, effective multitasking and organizational skills, strong attention and adherence to details, deadlines & constraints and excellent prioritization and decision-making skills, especially when presented with multiple options. Proven experience in understanding contractual documentation, purchase specifications, configuration management, metrics analysis and skilled in the use of Microsoft products. Experience and ability to interact with all levels of management across the value stream, as well as external customers is preferred.
