The Role

Responsible for managing and leading the functional department responsible for the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, fleet support services, supplies, finished goods and services for Facilities and IT support. The ultimate goal is ensuring material availability meeting the enterprises priorities of safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for material procurements adhering to cost, schedule and quality
  • Development of procurement strategy
  • Provide approvals for negotiation plans, negotiated prices, and selections of recommended suppliers
  • Analyzes trends in the metal market for optimum order placements
  • Follows up orders placed to ensure material movement throughout manufacturing process.
  • Develop and implement processes that will streamline operations and create savings; work closely with project teams to establish supporting initiatives
  • Work closely with Director of Procurement to set strategy, implement standards and operational goals that are aligned with corporate initiatives
  • Management of procurement staff


Must Have

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (or the equivalent in education, training and experience), plus a minimum of 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's degree and 6 years relevant experience.
