Job Summary

The Manager of Neuro-Interventional Technology plans, directs, and evaluates the clinical and technical operations supporting Neuro-Interventional Radiology and related image-guided neurovascular procedures. Provides leadership for neuro-interventional technologists and support staff and ensures safe, efficient, patient-centered services in collaboration with neuro-interventional physicians, radiologists, nursing, anesthesia, neurosurgery, neurology, emergency services, and other departments. Responsible for staffing, workflow, procedural readiness, on-call coverage, quality and performance improvement, regulatory readiness, radiation safety, equipment and technology management, supply and device coordination, staff competency, education, and budget stewardship. Serves as a key operational resource for advanced neuro-interventional imaging technology, including biplane angiography systems, fluoroscopy, 3D imaging, image fusion, procedural navigation, and related technologies. Maintains technical expertise in neuro-interventional imaging and procedures and, when operationally necessary, may provide direct technical support during procedures.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Work Experience:

Five years of progressively responsible experience as a radiologic technologist in neuro-interventional radiology, interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, vascular imaging, or a closely related procedural imaging environment.

Acute-care hospital experience required. Experience with neurovascular procedures, advanced angiography systems, quality improvement, regulatory readiness, radiation safety, budgeting, equipment management, and staff development preferred.

Three years of lead, supervisory, or management experience required.

Experience supporting 24/7 emergent procedural services and multidisciplinary clinical teams preferred.

License/Registration/Certification:

Current Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification required.

Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration in Radiography (ARRT) (R), required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Vascular Interventional Radiography, ARRT(VI), preferred.

Certified Neurointerventional Clinician (CNIC-BC), preferred.

Education and Training:

Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program required.

Bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences, healthcare administration, business administration, management, or a related field preferred.

Skills:

1. Knowledge of neuro-interventional and vascular imaging workflows, biplane angiography, fluoroscopy, 3D rotational angiography, image reconstruction, image fusion, radiation protection, contrast safety, sterile technique, patient monitoring, and emergency response.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of neuro-interventional procedures and the technical requirements associated with diagnostic cerebral angiography and neurovascular interventions.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage staffing and budgets, evaluate technology, interpret operational data, investigate events, improve processes, and maintain regulatory readiness.
4. Ability to evaluate and optimize advanced imaging technology, troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate vendor support, and participate in capital equipment planning.
5. Strong judgment, communication, conflict-resolution, customer-service, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
6. Ability to function effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment requiring rapid response to emergent neurovascular procedures.
7. Proficiency with electronic health records, radiology information systems, PACS, imaging equipment applications, scheduling systems, productivity tools, and standard office software.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately manage sensitive employee, patient, clinical, and operational information.
