Job SummaryManages a team of maintenance and engineering professionals responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards. Is accountable for team performance, equipment uptime, and the successful execution of preventive and corrective maintenance strategies. Adapts departmental priorities in response to operational needs, resource availability, and production demands. Makes decisions within defined policies and procedures and receives direction from senior leadership as needed. Provides hands-on technical guidance to team members, cross-functional partners, and external vendors.
Key ResponsibilitiesManages maintenance and engineering operations to support equipment availability, system reliability, and production performance across multiple work areas.Directs work flow of engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff, ensuring timely completion of preventive maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects.Coordinates processes and assignments related to work order prioritization, downtime response, and vendor support across shifts and functional departments.Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards through routine audits, inspections, and documentation control.Implements asset management strategies, including spare parts inventory control, reliability-centered maintenance planning, and equipment lifecycle analysis.Advises internal stakeholders on technical options for equipment upgrades, layout changes, and long-term infrastructure investments.Attends cross-functional meetings to align departmental goals with broader operational initiatives, facility expansions, or system upgrades.Hires, trains, and develops team members by supporting onboarding, skills development, and performance improvement plans.Evaluates performance of direct reports through regular coaching, annual reviews, and alignment of objectives with department priorities.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsManages staff performance and development, coaching team members to achieve their full potential in contributing to the department's goals.Required Education & ExperienceMinimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Specialized Degree: Engineering
Licenses/Certificates: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent
Years of Experience: 5-7 Years
