Job DescriptionThis is a leadership position in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization and will serve as the strategic business advisor and partner supporting the Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit (SCU).
The Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.
What You'll Do:- As the FP&A strategic business advisor this position will be responsible for supporting strategic and tactical business investment decisions.
- Be responsible for developing current, accurate and complete budgets, rates, and performance analysis.
- Present financials to SCU leadership and Space & Mission Systems (SMS) executive staff.
- Work collaboratively within the Operations SCU to develop financial best practices and coordinate with the Directors within the SCU to develop financial forecasts and budgets.
- Ensure business operations are compliant with regulatory requirements and conducted in accordance with best practices.
- Develop, promote, and support Finance training to increase financial acumen.
- Support business requests, special projects and collaborate with others to optimize business solutions.

- Understand the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), disclosure statements, indirect cost activities and associated allocation methods.
- Support disclosure statement updates and cost impact assessments.
- Support business operations that are compliant with regulatory requirements and conducted in accordance with best practices. All aspects of the role align with regulations, and comply with Company policies, procedures, tools, and instructions.
- Support business risk resolution and opportunity identification and implementation.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Short Term Incentive: Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
Required Skills and Education- BS/BA in related field plus 10 years or more related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Understanding of business and program requirements with performance implications on the financial aspects of the business.

Preferred Skills and Education- US Government contracting experience with FAR, DFARS and CAS understanding.
