Full Job Description

Primary Duties

1. Serves as the enterprise subject-matter expert on matters related to greenhouse gas (GHG). Reviews and understands state and federal regulations pertaining to environmental and GHG emissions monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting.

2. Prepares regulatory and internal reports and presentations related to the environmental aspects of ESG initiatives.

3. Interprets complex regulatory language for better understanding. Meets and communicates regularly with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective communications and exchange of information.

4. Participates in regulatory review, industry committee, and stakeholder meetings to help develop guidelines for employees to follow.

5. Monitors emissions measurement activities to assure and assist in environmental compliance.

6. Schedules and conducts environmental compliance visits with sites in order to enhance communications and maintain compliance.

7. Oversees implementation of data acquisition, handling, and reporting processes and supports review/verification processes.

8. Keeps abreast of industry issues through involvement in industry and trade associations (e.g., AGA, ONE Future, LCRI, SGA, TPA, and TXOGA).

9. Establishes calendar to assure all data collection, processing, verification, and reporting tasks are performed on time.

10. Provides guidance to operations and engineering personnel in support of their job functions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field, and seven years of progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Requires exceptional ability to communicate verbally with internal and external audiences; must possess excellent writing skills, including the knowledge of various styles, such as AP news style, speech writing, and persuasive (op-ed) writing.

NUMERIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires basic computer skills and basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, mapping, and PowerPoint software.

WORK CONDITIONS:
Work is in an office environment. Responsibilities may include periodic work outside the office. May require some traveling.
Requires occasionally performing activities include, but not limited to, driving, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and/or lifting.
