Job Summary
Summary
Responsible for managing the bio-nutrition research activities within the department. Oversees the design, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition-related research studies involving human subjects. Ensures compliance with ethical standards, regulatory guidelines, and institutional policies while supporting the advancement of clinical nutrition research.

-Coordinates the planning and execution of research projects, ensuring alignment with study objectives.

-Supervises research staff and dietitians, providing guidance and support throughout the research process.

-Manages data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to study protocols.

-Ensures compliance with IRB, FDA, and other regulatory requirements for human subject research.

-Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians and investigators, to integrate nutrition into broader research initiatives.

-Develops and monitors study budgets, allocating resources efficiently and maintaining financial oversight.

-Leads efforts to publish research findings and present them at scientific conferences.

-Engages with participants to ensure informed consent, compliance with protocols, and ongoing follow-up as needed.

Responsible for providing oversight of clinical nutrition services within MGB Office of Clinical Research, including nutrition assessment, nutrition counseling/consultation, performance improvement, and self-management training, monitoring and nutrition intervention to patients. The Nutrition Manager is responsible for the development of the hospital diet office management system and operations of the diet office, including the staff at different research locations across MGB. Oversees the design, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition-related research studies involving human subjects. Ensures compliance with ethical standards, regulatory guidelines, and institutional policies while supporting the advancement of clinical nutrition research.

Establishes goals and oversees implementation of clinical nutrition care based upon the facilities' medical direction and patient population
Hires, leads, direct, coaches, trains, and develops nutrition team members
Fosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs which leads to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes
Establishes and executes operating standards, implements quality improvements, and manages the budget
Monitors competency, productivity, and documentation accuracy of clinical staff
