Your Role on Our Team

As a Metrology Data, Systems, and Automation Engineer, you will help modernize metrology operations by improving how measurement data is collected, organized, analyzed, reported, and connected across engineering, quality, manufacturing, supplier, and enterprise systems. This role is well suited for candidates with experience in metrology, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, software automation, data analytics, systems integration, technical applications support, or related technical disciplines. You will evaluate and implement new technologies, develop practical automation and reporting solutions, and serve as a technical bridge between Metrology Engineering, IT, and cross-functional business partners.

You'll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend metrology hardware, inspection software, automation tools, AI-enabled solutions, data platforms, and digital reporting technologies.
  • Lead feasibility studies, benchmarking, implementation planning, testing criteria, documentation, training, and change management for new metrology applications and workflows.
  • Design and implement software-based solutions that improve metrology data flow, reporting speed, traceability, usability, and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Develop scripts, tools, automated workflows, low-code solutions, AI agents, bots, dashboards, or standardized templates for data extraction, transformation, report generation, workflow automation, and performance tracking.
  • Serve as the primary technical link between Metrology Engineering and IT for software tools, system integrations, database connectivity, permissions, cybersecurity, licensing, file architecture, and digital infrastructure.
  • Translate metrology, quality, manufacturing, and engineering workflow needs into clear business and technical requirements while aligning operational needs with scalable, supportable solutions.
  • Drive standardization of metrology software workflows, naming structures, file organization, data storage methods, reporting practices, and digital lifecycle control.
  • Support continuous improvement projects that improve metrology efficiency, quality system compliance, reporting consistency, and digital transformation.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to share best practices, support user adoption, and build repeatable solutions that can scale across laboratories, suppliers, and manufacturing environments.

What TOOLS you'll bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: metrology, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, inspection technology, software applications, data analytics, automation, systems integration, technical support, or related technical work.
  • Exposure to metrology, inspection, quality, manufacturing, or engineering systems such as CMMs, vision systems, optical scanners, laser scanners, CT/X-ray, gages, test equipment, CAD-based inspection, or related technologies.
  • Hands-on experience improving data handling, reporting, automation, scripting, programming, dashboards, databases, or workflow tools in an engineering, quality, manufacturing, lab, or technical business environment.
  • Interest in or experience with AI, AI agents, bots, low-code tools, or workflow automation used to improve data handling, reporting, troubleshooting, user support, or process efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of one or more tools such as Python, VBA, SQL, Excel automation, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, APIs, database tools, reporting platforms, or similar automation and data solutions.
