The primary purpose of the Metrics Analyst is to establish, implement, and publish strategic measurements and metrics pertaining to law enforcement and security activities that are aligned with the departmental and institutional business goals and objectives. Impacts departmental operations and decision making through data collection, data management, data analysis and data visualization tools.
Ideal candidates will have advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI and Tableau to develop dashboards, analyze data from multiple sources, and create meaningful reports for leadership. Strong project management and organizational skills are required, including experience managing multiple projects, tracking milestones, and supporting strategic initiatives. Candidates should be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to translate data into actionable insights.
KEY FUNCTIONS:

* Designs spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
* Develops and supports the reporting and analysis of key measurements, trends and benchmarks.
* Prepares and distributes periodic and ad hoc reports.
* Conducts research and designs surveys and other instruments as needed to support data analysis.
* Coordinates with others to ensure quality and accurate reporting.
* Tracks key projects and designs reports to communicate progress.
* Maps out project plans and milestones.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Statistic, Healthcare Administration or related field.
Preferred: Master's Degree Business Administration, Statistics, Healthcare Administration or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Five years in data analysis experience. With Master's degree, three years experience in data analysis. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
